Description
During the 1930’s, Bonal was a popular French alcoholic aperitif. To advertise and promote the product, the company employed French artists of the era. The most well known artist of the period was A.M. Cassandre, his designs and advertisements were very popular at that time. This 1933 Art Deco vintage poster was designed by A.M Cassandre. The drink was promoted as ‘opening up the appetite’, a concept which is visually demonstrated in this ad.
