Description
This 1966 poster is promoting an exhibition of the works of Pablo Picasso, from the Heinz Berggruen collection which is held in Paris, France. In this image, we see a rendition of Picasso’s unique talent of transforming existing works to compose a variation of his own concept. Picasso has reimagined the painting by the German Renaissance painter, Lucas Cranach, ‘Portrait of a lady‘, 1594, to produce a new work, ‘Buste de femme d’après Cranach le Jeune’. This poster is advertising and exhibition of Picasso’s works at the Berggruen Gallery in Paris.
