Description

RARE first edition two panel poster. René Gruau was an Italian artist known for his painterly style of fashion illustration. Gruau was a graphic artist for haute couture fashion houses including Dior, as well as advertisements, Gruau garnered further acclaim for his poster design of Federico Fellini’s cinema classic La Dolce Vita (1959).
This poster has been linen backed for preservation.

Luxurious and silky soft, Bemberg is commonly used for lining suits and coats, bemberg is a type of rayon fabric often used as a cost-effective substitute to silk. Bemberg is the brand name for cupro, which is regenerated cellulose fiber made from cotton.
